Lulo
Lulo came into the lives of Astrid and Roberto on February 12, 2018. He was a force of love and compassion that transformed their days.
He was born with a heart condition that, according to veterinarians, might limit his life to just two years. However, Lulo defied all expectations and gave them six wonderful years. Nothing stopped him from being a playful dog, always befriending every pup he met along the way.
He was a traveling dog; one Christmas, he took a road trip to El Paso, Texas, to celebrate with family and also explored La Paz, BCS. Both trips, made all the way from Washington State, showcased his adventurous spirit and his love for sharing moments with his loved ones.
Lulo left unforgettable memories in everyone he touched with his big heart. His immense love for people earned him the nickname "Lulo Butter," as he always “spread” himself on others, offering his unconditional affection.
Lulo was and continues to be the driving force that sparked the inspiration in Astrid and Roberto to create something greater.

We say that Lulo is and not was because, even though he is no longer physically with us, he is present with Astrid and Roberto every day. In their routines, in the way they speak and behave, there is always something that reminds them of Lulo.
For the foundation, is because he represents the core pillars of our mission: empathy, respect, love, and collaboration. The foundation, through its mission and vision, strives to embody and project these values that Lulo left us.
